Happy New Year!

This holiday season I decided to tackle a couple DIY projects as more of an innovative way to be thankful for the ones you love.

Only doing a little scrap booking in the past- I was new to the craft game; learning as I went along.

My first project developed from a pinterest pin.  Originally coming from fleemarketstyle blog- this project was beautifully done and of course inspired me to recreate.  After knowing the key ingredient (Mod Podge) I was off to Michaels.

In November, my husband was the best man at a childhood friends wedding. It was the first Sikh Indian Wedding the both of us have attended and It. Was. Amazing!  After the event we wound up bringing home two programs along with enough bangles to completely cover both of my arms compliments of my daughter.  The paper to the wedding program was absolutely fabulous.. I think you know what happens next :)
The paper was extremely thick and wasn't pliable what so ever. I was having a hard time getting it to stay down on the circular ball using the ModPodge.  I soaked it in water in hopes for the paper to give a little.  Luckily, the hubby pulled through by shaving the back side to thin the paper.  This allowed the paper to be super thin. With some placement planning, gold leafing, glitter, and Mod Podge- this sealed the deal!

I hope they enjoyed receiving them as much as I enjoyed making them :)
